User access levels
QAlity uses access levels to control what each user can see and do in the workspace. This helps protect administrative controls while allowing members to execute day-to-day testing work.
Admin
Admin users have full workspace access, including user management and administrative controls.
Admins can:
- view the Users module
- invite users
- manage users (activate and deactivate)
- manage access levels
- access workspace settings
Only Admin users can manage workspace users.
Member (regular user)
Member users can work on testing activities allowed for their access level but do not have user administration access.
Members:
- cannot see the Users module
- cannot invite users
- cannot manage user activation or deactivation
- can access projects, test cases, and test runs according to assigned permissions

Changing access levels
Only Admin users can change another user's access level.
To change access level:
- Open the Users module.
- Locate the target user.
- Select the required access level.
- Save the change.
Apply changes carefully to ensure users have only the access required for their role.
Grant Admin access only when full administrative control is required.
Tips
- Follow least-privilege principles: assign the minimum access needed.
- Keep a small, trusted Admin group.
- Review access levels periodically, especially after team or responsibility changes.
- Update access quickly during onboarding, role changes, and offboarding.
